Front Sprinkler Weak

The sprinkler on the side of the house, next to the junipers, is spraying only a 1'-2' half-radius. Going to add a sprinkler to the corner end of the grass to 'resolve' the problem. Pictures tomorrow it's too dark for any good photos.

Backyard Sprinkler Move

When work began on replacing the sprinkler system the lawn was in bad shape. Prior to the placement of the redwood and rock edging I guessed the lawn would end where the sprinkler was placed. After planting new grass decided to let the grass get established before moving the sprinkler. The grass was getting established then we cut the limb off the tree (go here to see pictures) and between the limb hitting the lawn and the saw dust the grass diminished.

The plan is to get the sprinkler soaking the lawn and will plant some blue fescue grass mix to fill in the dirt gaps. Will continue to use the blower to remove and remaining saw dust. Suspect the cracks in the lawn are due to the clay soil used from Mom & Dad's yard to cover this rock and root plagued area (hope it's not the roots). Filled in the cracks with soil conditioner.

Growing Grass in The Front Yard

First try at filling in empty spots on the front lawn. The reason the patches developed is due to the sprinklers not reaching all of the lawn. Sharon keeps telling me it use to reach the entire lawn... but use to reach doesn't get water to the lawn. So I suspect I'll be adding a couple of sprinkler heads to the lawn.

Current progress on the grass patches. These photos were taken around the first/second week of November 2006 and it's been raining since then. It's been growing so I'll need to cut the grass on Thursday. The first photo is looking better but still going to need to go in and remove some rocks and put down more seed.

So with all that sifting rock experience from the backyard I'm going to sift this area before patching. All the excitement of planting, watering and watching the grass grow!
